Chip tuning is the most accurate form of increasing power and torque by modifying the engine controller software. At V-tech, we precede each modification with a measurement on a dynamometer and finish with individual tuning for a specific car. We do not use ready-made files – we write maps from scratch, based on data from your car.
Chip tuning,
that makes a difference
This gives you not only more power, but also safety, repeatability and full control over what’s happening under the hood.
CHIP TUNING V-TECH
What is chip tuning and why should it be done?
Chip tuning is the process of modifying the engine control unit (ECU) software to optimize its operation - increase power, torque, improve gas response and often reduce combustion. Instead of using ready-made files, at V-tech we create maps from scratch, adapting them to the specific car and the conditions under which it drives.

We always carry out tuning with a dynamometer - we tune, measure and verify the results. This gives the driver not only better performance, but also full safety and repeatability of the engine. Chip tuning is not just about acceleration - it's about the comfort of everyday driving, which you can really feel.

We perform Stage 1 and Stage 1+ modifications that are safe for the drive unit and do not require interference with engine mechanics. This is ideal for those who want to get more power without replacing parts.
V-TECH POWERCHIPS
Choose your PowerChip
Stage 1
We individually customize the factory engine software – no off-the-shelf, no risk. The entire process takes about 2 hours and ends with a measurement and discussion of the results. You, during this time, can simply… drink coffee.
The price includes:
- More power and torque
- Safe tuning without interfering with mechanics
- Customized map tailored to your car
- Optional: full diagnostics of controllers at a promotional price
Stage 1+
Already have an intake, intercooler, downpipe or other modifications? Stage 1+ is a program written specifically for your kit. Tuning takes up to 3 hours and requires a series of measurements – ideally come with a full tank.
The price includes:
- Even more power and smoother torque
- Tuning for installed modifications
- Optimizing performance and combustion
- Full diagnostics of controllers FREE of charge
- Maximum performance, 100% safety and pure driving fun
Frequently asked questions about chip tuning
Is chip tuning safe for the engine?
Yes – if it is made by professionals. At V-tech, each modification is customized individually for a particular car and tested on a dynamometer. We do not exceed the safe limits of the unit or equipment.
Do I have to have any mechanical modifications to do chip tuning?
No. Stage 1 does not require any changes to the intake, exhaust or cooling system. All you need is a working, stock car.
Stage 1+ is for cars with additional modifications, such as an intercooler, downpipe or sports intake.
What is the difference between PowerChip and Chip Tuning?
PowerChip is an external module (tuning box) that does not require dismantling the controller or uploading maps. It can be easily disassembled and transferred to another car.
Chip tuning is a direct modification of the software in the ECU – more advanced, but also requiring more intervention. Both options are performed in-house and individually tailored to the customer’s needs.
How long does chip tuning take?
Stage 1 usually takes about 2 hours. Stage 1+ can take up to 3 hours, due to additional measurements and more advanced tuning. During this time, you can wait with us or leave your car and come back to pick it up.
Can I go back to the factory settings after tuning?
Yes. Upon request, we can restore the original engine software – we preserve it before any modification.
